Passed Feb. AN ACT to change the name of Henry Schley, of'

act, the name of Henry Schley, of the city of Balti-
wore, be and the same is h-reby changed to l3enja-
min Henry Schley.

Pa ed Feb. AN ACT to make valid a deed of manumission from
27, lS56.          Thomas Lord to negress Caroline.
Made valid.  SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General .Ilssembly
of .Maryland, That the deed of manumission from
Thomas Lord to negress Caroline, executed oi tile
ninth day of January, in the year eighteen hundred
and thirty-nine, and recorded among the land records
of Somerset county, in Liber G. H., No. 9, folios
five hundred and ninety one, and five hundred and
ninety-two, and tested by one witness, be as valid
and effectual in law, as if the same had beon tested
by two witnesses.
In lbrce.    SEC. 2. Aqnd be it enacted, That this act shall take
