Pay.      of Mjaryland, Tiwh:! tic Treasurer of die State be an-
Ihorised and directed to pay, upon the wairant of the
Comptroller, to Joseph Dilley, of Allegany county, of'
any unnppropriated money in the Treasury, 'he stn of
one iiundred' and thirty-eight doilas and filty cents,,
being the amount     1 Cutlion or composition money
paid into. the Treasury by said I)illey, upon a certili-
caeto of resurvey returned by him into the Western,
Shore Land Oficc for composition, for which land,.the
Chancellor, as Judge of time Land Office lhns deeud
that said Dilley is not entitled to patent.

that it woutd greatly cottribute to tie atvatmage and
improvement of the town of Oxford, it Talbut comnty,
if the saute should be placed under die care and regt-
lation of certain commissioners to be elected by Ihe in-
habitants thereof, and vested with sulficient power o
forwamd an(d effect the Irposes intended ; '1'heiefore,
Incoriporated,  SECTION 1. Be it eitacIed by /te General As.
kc,       sembly of Maryland, That the inhabimants of the town
of Oxford, in Talbot county, and all other persons
holding real property in said towvn, and residents thre-
of, shall be, and they are hereby constituted and made
a body corporate, by the name of the Commissioners of'
Oxford, and as such shall have succession; and by
their corporate name may sue and be sued, pleatl and
be impleaded, grant, receive, and do all other acts its
natural persons ; and may purchase and hold real, per-
sonal and mixed property, or dispose of the same for
the benefit of the said town ; andi may have and use a
common seal, which may he broken or altered at plea-
SUre.
