State, as slave fbr li It, a certain negro man unnied Levin,
between eighteen atid forty-live years old, who is now
within this State; provided, that the said Richard T. rtiU:,eW
Waters shall, within thirty (lays after the piassage of this
act, file with the clerk of' Worcester county court, a list
of said slave, with an atidavit thereto attached, that the
same is a trite and faithful list of said slave, stating his
age, and that he has not been brought -into this State
for sale, and that lie is a slave For life ; ao I I proidedJur-

clerk of said couit the sum of fiflecn dollars, to be paid
