ln act entitled, an act to allow William Z. Beall, of  Pasted
Prince George's county, to bring into this State, vegro' an. 21, 1s4s.

Be it enacted by the General .dIssembly of JMharyland, Bring slave
That William Z. Beall, of Prince George's county, be intotiisState
and lie is hereby authorised to bring into this State,
from the l)istrict of Columbia, negro woman named
Harriet, a slave for life; provided, the said William Z. pfroviko.
Beall, comply with the provisions of the a.t of Decem-
ber session, eighteen hundred and-thi-ty-nine, chapter
fifteen, section first.

Charles County.
S Ec'io.' 1. Be it enacted by the General Xlsscmbly of Eipowered to'
l3faryland, That Ilemietta Roberts and Henry M. Ro-
hey,administrators of Allison Robeits former collector of
direct taxes for Charles county, have until the first
day of .January, eighteen hundred and fortynine, to
collect the atccounts or balances dtte the said Allison
Roberts, collector as aforesaid, at the time tit his death,
as freely as it' thc same had been done within the time
heretofore limited by law.
SEc. 2. .,nd be it enacted, That the said Henrietta To rendciac.
Roberts and Henry M. h1obey, administratois as afore.. count.
said, hefore they shall proceed to execute the body or
property of any person or persons for direct tax as
aforesaid, shall deliver or cause to be delivered to the
person or persons chargeable with the same, or shall
leave or cause to be lPft at his, her or their house
or last place of abode, at least twenty days previous
to the serving or levying any execution upon the
body or property of said person or persons, an account
of the same due by him, her or them.
Sic. 3. And be it enacted, That the iaid Henrietta May appoint
Roberts and Henry M. Robey, administrators as afore-agenti.
said, are hereby fully authorized and empowered to
appoint oce or more agents or deputies, tor the purpo-
se of Car ying into efect the provisions of this a:t.
