CHAP. 187. holding the election in said district, and that a change in
the location of part of said district, %yould greatly promote
their convenience and the public good; the prayer of the
petitioners appearing reasonable and just;-Therefore,
Chng   I fl,e  Be it enactedl by the General ,Assembly of ANardland, That
a part of the Filth Election District of Anne Arundel county
be added to the sixth district, according to the following
lines:w-beginning at the first beginning line (if the fifth and
sixth election districts, at the river which divides Anne
Arundel anti MoLtgomery counties, near to Triadeljihia
Factory, and running down with and binding on said river,
until it gets to a large branch, which empties into said river
below Benjamin Scrivenor's farm, and then running up and
binding on said big Branch, until it reaches a farin on
which Samuel Straughan now lives; and thence with a
straight line until it strikes a Branch on the vcst
side of the said house, and then up said Branch until it in-
tersects the Roxbury blill Road, leading to Porter's tavern,
.wherc it will intersect the divisional hue between the fifth
and sixth alection districts; and it shall and may be lawful
for all voters now residing, or may hereafter reside, vithin
the present lines of the filth district, and within the limits
of the aforesaid lines, as above directed to be run, to vote
at the place of holding elections in 'he sixth election dis.

that Richard Webb, of Dorchester county, Samuel Barrett,
of Talbot county, Moses Coker, of Caroline county, and
Charles 1, illiams, of Harford county, free persons of color,
have, by their industry, economy, and good conduct, ac-
quired some real estate in said coulties, ii hich tlwy are de-
sirous of transmitting to their children, which, under the
existing laws of this State, they arc unable to do;-There-
fore,
