CHAPTER 130.                      oCuIAP. 132.
An act for the relief oJ John P. Paca, of Queen Annc'8  Pamedl.&sssa,
County.
Be it enacted by M1e General .4sembly of ,Maryland, That Athority to com
the Levy Court of Queen Anne's County, be, and they are
hereby authorised and empowered to examine the accounts
of John P. Paca, of said county, for qervices rendered by
him as suvervisor of one of the roads in said county, and
levy so much of said account as they shall deem right and
proper, on the assessable property of said county, which
sum, when so assessed and levied, shall be collected as oth-
er county charges are, and paid over to tihe said John P.
Vaca: or his order.
CHAPTER 131.
An act for the relief of Richard Osbourn.   PAsed Ma. .3, 1031
Be it enacted by the General ./8sembly of Jlaryland, That Perost,-ion n-
it shall and may be lawful, for Richard Osbourn, to bring
into this State, his negro man, Mark Hemsley, a slave for
life; Provided, the said Richard Osbourn shall, within thirty
days after he brings the said slave into this State, make
oath before some justice of the peace in and for the county
into which he may introduce said slave, that he is a slave
for life, and shall lodge said aflidiavit with the Clerk of said
county, to be by him recorded; and provided, the said Os-
bourn shall pay to the Clerk ot the Court of the county
into which said slave shall be introduced, the sum of fifteen
dollars, to be paid over by the said Clerk to the Treasurer
of the Western Shore, for the use and benefit of the Colo.
nization Society.
CHAPTER 132.
An act to alter and c/ange the name of Ellen Ambrouse, of Paed Mr. 4.1831
Washington County, to the name oJ Elizabeth Ellen
Shatw.
Be it enacted by the General Assemblj of JMaryland, That Name elawe,
from and after the passage of this act, the name of Ellen
