C1AP. 129. visor of roads in said county is subject to for the like failure
of duty, and that all the laws relative to public roads in said
county, shall be held to apply to the aforesaid roads.

into this State, cerlain Slaves thercn rtamed.
Pttamble      WIErnEAS, William H. D. C. Wright,now resides at
Rio de Janeiho, whither he went as Consul of the United
States, carrying wilh him two negro slaves, Frederick and
Maria, who have since had two children, Edward and
Lewis, and the said Wright intending to return to this State,
is desirous to bring said slaves into this State, Therefore:
Peemhdeigmated Bie it enacted by lhe General fissambly oj .Afavyland, That
William H. D. C. Wright, be, and he is hereby authorised
to,,bring into this State, his negro sldves named Frederick and
Maria, together with their two children, Edward and Lewis:
Providcd, that the said Wright shall comply with the provi.
sions of the act passed at December session, eighteen hun-
dred and thirty three, chapter eighty seven, entitled, a fur-
ther supplement to an act, entitled, an act relating to free
negroes and slaves.
CHAPTER 129.

male Societyfor the Instruction of Poor Children.
N'mam changed  Be it enacted by the General Assenbly of Maryland, That
from and after the passage of this act, the sociely hereto-
fore known by tie name of The Hagerstown Female Socie-
ty for 'the Instruction of Poor Children, incorporated at
December session, eighteen hundred and eighteen, chnister
eighty, shall be called and known by the name and style of
The Hagersown Charity School: Provided, that nothing
herein contained, shall in any wise alter or change the
liabilities, rights and duties of said corporation, as prescrib-
ed in the said original act of incorporation.
