WnEiptAs, Elizabeth Denison and Robert Miller Deni- Preamble
son, of the city of Baltimore, have represented that Robert
Miller, late of said city, deceased, gave to said Elizabeth
and Robert Miller Denison, certain negroes in the State of
Virginia, as part of his property in the firm of Arthur &
Miller, and afterwards confirmed the said girt by his last
vill and testament, and it is doubtful whether, by virtue of
the act, passed at December session of the year eighteen
hundred and thirty-three, chapter eighty seven, the said
Elizabeth and Robert Miller Denison may introduce into
this State any of the said negroes; and shereas, said per-
sons have asked leave to introduce five of said negroes;-
Therefore,
Be it enacted by the General ./issembly of Maryland, That cr iion to  i
it shall and way be lawful for said Elizabeth Denison and slave
Robert Miller Denison to introduce into this State any five
of the said negroes, to every effect, as if the right to do so
were given by said act, and upon the terms and conditions
