upon any application by Alfred G. Clagett, for the making
of any lease or leases as aforesaid, to the Court of Chance-
ry,.or Baltimore county court, as.a court of equity, the pro-
visions of the second section of the act passed at December
session, of the year eighteen hundred and thirty three, chap-
ter one hundred and fifty, slhall be deemed and taken to
apply to the case of said Fanny Carolin'e, and said real es-
tate, to every efhct, as if said Fanny Caroline were for-
mally declared ain idiot or lunalic, and as if said Alfied
were trustee of her as such idiot or lunatic; Provided
however, that the court, before passing any decree in the
promises, Ibr any such leasing, slall be satisfied of the
mcntal incompetency as aforesaid, of said Fanny earn-
line, and that it s >all not be necessary to issue ally sub.

That any ollicer of the United States Army or Navy,
'who shall, by duty, be called into this State, shall be author-
ised to briig iwith him, and retain while lie so remains, any
servant or servants, being slaves, any law to the contrary
notwithstanding; provided, such license be not construed to
autliorise the sale of any such slave or slaves within the
limits of this State, but that they shall, on the removal of
such officer, be carried out of the State with hiw.
