record two bills of sale friom Joseph R. Ford, to George  . - ..
and David King.
Be it oacted by the General .,sse?4bly of Marylaid, That  ,
it shall be lawful for the Clerk of Baltimore County Court  . .
to record two bills of sale fr'om Joseph It. Ford, to George
King and David King, for two negroes, the one named
Jacob. Brown, and the bther named Peeker, which are in-
tended to liberate the said negroes from slavery, at'certain
periods therein mentioned, both executed by all the parties
on the fifteenth day of February, eighteen hundred and
thirty-two, and acknowledged by the said Ford before Tho-
mas Gorsuch, a justice of the peace in and for Baltimore
county, on the same day, and which were neglected to be
recorded within the time limited for recording such instru-
ments of writing, and when so recorded, provided the
same shall be done within three months from the passage
of this act, shall be of the same validity, to all intents and
purposes, as if they had been recorded within the time
limited by law for recording such instruments, any thing
in any law to the contrary notwithstanding; Provided, that tri ..
the said bill of' sale, when recorded, shall be as good and
available, to all intents and purposes, as if they had been
attested by two witnesses instead of one; and provided, M kfe Valid.
that nothing in this act shall in any manner whatsoever
impair the right of any person or persons, who may have
acquired any property in said negroes since the execution
of said bills of sale.

sembiy that shall meet in December, eighteen hundred'and
thirty-four, and of the General Assembly that shall meet
in every alternate year thereafter, shall be on or before the
forty-fifth day after the day of the meeting thereof- or if
