An act to repeal the laws now in force for the destruction of Crows in Caroline
colunts.                             Passed Dec.
17, 1823.
Be it enacted by the General /Issembl of Maryland, That all laws Repal.
nowin force in Caroline county, relating to the deitruCtion of crows
in said county, so far as the samc relateq to Caroline county, is hereby
repealed from and after tl~ passage of this act

lature, passed at l)ecember session eighteen hundred and thirteen,

public land records of said county) was built and erected uponpart
of the public, ground in Frederick Town, on which the court house.

the rooms in the said fire proof building, which may be necessary
for the safe keeping of the records and paperi's of the said orphans'
court, and for holding the said court; Provided nevertheless, that a.
sufficiency of room be left in the said fire proof building which in  roviso

keeping of other public land records of said county, and the neces-
sary expenses for carrying into eflect the provisions herein contained,
to be levied and paid in the same. manner as otlier county charges.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly oj Mary.land, That the 19, 1823.
judges of Prince George's county court, or any one of themn, are Insolvency.
hereby authorised and empowered, to grant to William    C. Beard,
of said county, the benefits of the several acts of assembly, passed
for the relief of insolvent debtors; Provided, the said Beard shall Proviso.
in all respects (except that of residence) comply vith the requisitions
of said acts of assembly, and that he satisfy the said judge or judges
that he did not co'iie into this state with the viewv of obtaining the
benefit of the said insolvent laws.
CHAPTEt 22.
An act to authorise John Mason, of Worcester.couoty, to import certain slaves Passed De
into this state.                        18, 1823.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General A.ssem bht of A1ar!/land,' hat John Import .'a
Mason, of Worcester county, be, and he is hereby authorised at any
time after the passage of this act, to remove and 'bring into this state
certain negro slaves-Saborah, aged about forty years, and tvi o boy;
aged about sixteen years eazh, named Harry and ['ull'; and that tie
removal of the said slaves to this state, *Shall not *in any manner
entitle them to their freedom; Provided, that said slaves when remov-
ed agreeably to the provisions of this act, shall lie registered among
tile records of Worcester county court within three months after
their removal.
