said county, shewing in what manner the monies which bath been in-
trl.-;ted to their care has been expended, what number of poor chil-
dren hath been thereny euaucated, and what length of time, and what

1822.     BrI NACT.       ly the General Assembl,] of Maryland, That
cery inapart at any time after the passage of this act, Marcellousl Keene, of the
city of Baltimore, be, anti he is hereby authorised to bring into
this state and them to retain as slaves, the following negroes, viz:
Benjamin, Lauretto and Maria, from the :tate of Kentucky, any
Proviso.   law to the contrary notwithstanding; Provided nevertheless, That
nothing in this act' e construed to authorise a disposition of said
slaves, except in cases of disposition by last will and testament, ,I:d
dispositions by law for bona file debts, or consequent upon intes-
tacies, in less than three whole ycars after the passage of this act.
.Andprovided mcrerver, 'I hat the said Marcellus Keene shall cause
the said negroes to be registered in the records of Baltimore count
court within six months after they shall have been brought int
this state.
