To amend Article 155 of the Civil Code of Louisiana.
SCTION 1. Be it enacted by the ASnate and Home of Representatives
of the Slate of Louisiana, in General Assembly conmened, That article
one hundred and fifty-five (155) of the Civil Code of Louisiana, which
reads as follows: There are in this State two classes of servants,
to-wit, the free servants and the slaves, he it so amended as to read
thus : There is only one class of servants in this State, to-wit, free
servants.
SEC. 2. Be it ftller cnacted, &e., That this Act shall take effect
from aid after its passage.
