To authorize the police juries of the different parishes to collect parish
taxes.
Police juries  SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and- fouse of Representatives
to cause the ofthe State of Louisiana in General Assembly concened; Tbat the po-
collection  of lice juries of the different parishes, be, and thy are hereby authorized

of their respective parishes, and thaT nll laws and p:irts of laws conflict-
ing with this section arhe ereby r.*pealed.
SE(.'Io. 2. Be it furt/her enatted *c., 'Hiat the provislous of this act

ciana: Provided that any person or persons owing t:ixes therein, are
hereby authorized to pay the sane, and it shall be tbo dily of the tax
collectors or parish Treasurers, to receive aid receipt for ouch taxes.
SECTION 3. Be it further enacted, That this act shall take effect from
and after its passage.
