Right to charge  SEC. 4. BO it fur ther Cnactd, c@'., That so soon as the said Company
toll.       shall have removed the said obstructions in said river and rendered the
same navigable for boats or water craft, they shall be authorized and
entitled to charge tolls upon all boats or crafts ascending or descending
the said river, passing through that portion known as the improved and
rendered navigable as aforesaid, as follows, to wit: Upon all boats or
crafts of capacity to carry over one hundred and loss than five hundred
bales of cotton, foiur hundred dollars a trip; and on boats of capaicity to
carry over live hundred bales and less than one thousand bales of cotton,
eight hundred a trip; and those with capacity to carry over a thousand
bales of cotton, one thousand a trip.
Ponicl.     SEc. 5. Be it further enacted, 5-c., That the doinicil of the said Company
shall be in the town of Shreveport, in the parish of Caddo, in this State,
and that the said Company shall have the right to elect such officers, and
y-ltaw.  to adopt such by-laws, rules, and regulations flor its government as it
may deem proper.
Power to il-  SEC. 6. Be it further C taded,  ']'C., That whenever it shall be ascertained
capial that the capital stock hiereinbeore inentioned shall not be sufficient to ac-
ock.       comnplish tihe objects of this act, the said Company may enlarge the same
as they may dCoi necessary, and openi subscriptions therefor, in such
Act to i al- manner as they may direct; Provided, however, That before the provisions
proved by Ark of this act shall be operative, the same shall be approved by the States

To incorporate the town of KNechi, in the parish of DeSoto.
Town or xeaclii  ScTioN 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of
incorloraled.,  the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened, That the inhabitants
of time town of Keachmi, in the parish of De Soto, be made a body politic
by the iame of the town of  Keachi, and as such inay sue and be
sued, plead and be impleaded, may possess of right a connon seal, and
the power to alter the same at pleasure.
um  re  SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, &c., That section tweity-first and thle
town. west half of section twenty-second, both in township fourteen, in range
fifteen, of the north-west land district of Louisiana, shall constitute the
area, mets, and bounds of said town of Keachi.
Mayor and Al-  SEC. 3. Be it fitrther enacted, &c., That the municipal governineit of
dermen.     said town shall be vested in and consist of a Mayor and four Aldermen,
