ane o  the sum of ninety-nine dollars be and the same is hereby appropri-
n.        ated out of all moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated,
belonging to the public school fund of that parish, to be reimbursed
to Manuel Serpas, late Superintendent of Public Education for the
parish of St Bernaid, said Serpas having overpaid the said sum.

ia warrant fer counts be and is hereby authorized to draw his warrant on the State
Sme.        Treasury for the said sum of ninety-nine dollars, out of all moneys
in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated.

To amend the second, fourth, fifth, eighth, fourteenth and sixteenth sections of an Act
entitled  an Act to incorporate the town of Donaidsoni'ille, approved April twenty-
second, one thousand eight hundred and lorty-six, and to reveal two Acts aunenuing
said sections, approved starch thiud one thiusand eijhi but dtutd aod frutty-eight, and
February twenty-third, one thousand eight hundred and forly-six.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate awd House of Representa-
Electon of tives of the State of Louisiana in General' Assembly conixened, 'I hat
Mayor and True- the second section of an Act entitlud * an, Act to incorporate the
towh of Donaldsonville, be so amended as to read as follows: Sec
tion second. Be it further enacted, &c., That to carry out the fore-
going powers, the municipal government of said town shall be vest-
ed in a Mayor and six Trustees, to be elected in the manner follow-
ing : the said town shall be divided into three words, the first ex-
tending from the middle of Houinas 'street to the middle of Bayou
Lafourche ; the second froni middle of Boumas street to the line for-
merly separating the town of Donaldsonville and Unionville; and
the third from the said line to the Church lands. All the inhabitants
of said town, who have resided therein during six months inimdi-
Qua~ications ately preceding such election, and are qualified to rote for meniders
