No. 138.1                  AN ACT
For the relief of North and Ileinel.
WnnE.s the slave Wilson, belonging to Ieinel and North, of 4h
parish of Assumnptiun, was committed to the penitentiairy for lift on
the twenty-third day of June, in the year of our Loid one thousand
Preamble.       eight hundred and filty.tbree, and owing to the loss of certificates
and papers forwarded to Baton Rouge, the parties were unable to
obtain them .-ain and present the necessary documents to enable
them to collci from the State Trea ury the sum allowed by law:
Be it enacted by the Senate and lHouse of Representatives of the
State of Louisiaina in General Assenadly concened, That the
Treasurer author- State Treasurer be and is hereby authorized to pay North and lieinel,
einel Maoo,    on the warrant of the Auditor of Public Accounts, three hundred
dollars from any funds in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, as
fall compensation for the said slave; provided the said North and
Heinel transk-r to the State a title to said slave.
