AN ACT
To emancipate John Lanier, of the Parish of Union.

Emancipation of a
certain minor.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of
the State of Louisiana in General Assembly convened, That
from and after the passage of this Act, John Lanier, of the Parish of
Union, be and he is hereby emancipated from all disabilities declared
by existing laws against minors, and that he be authorized to do and
perform all acts, and to enter into and contract all obligations; to
purchase, sell or mortgage property, real or personal; to sue and be
sued, and to do and perform all acts in relation to property, rights or
credits, as fully and-effectually as if he had attained the age of twenty
one years.

3athilda Laure Olivier, wife of Octave Delahoussaye, of the Parish
of St. Mary, be and is hereby authorized io mortgage and hypothecate
jointly with her husband all real property and slaves of which the
title is vested in her own personal name, whether dotal, paraphernal
