To provide additional means for the payment of the Members, Officers, and contin-
gent expenses of the General Assembly.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the State of Louisiana in General Assembly con-
$20,000 appropria- vened, That the sum of twenty thousand dollars, be and the same is
ted to pay the mem
bers of the General hereby appropriated, for the purpose of paying the members of the
Assembly, officers and Senate and House of Representatives the per diem  and mileage to
contingent expenses
of the same.    which they are respectively entitled, to pay the officers of the Senate
and House of Representatives, and to pay the contingent expenses of
said Senate and House of Representatives; the same to be paid by
the Treasurer on the warrant of the Auditor of Public Accounts, ac-
cording to law, out of any funds in the Treasury not otherwise appro-
priated,

To amend an Act entitled an Act to amend the several Acts relative to Patrols,
approved January 9th, 1821.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of
Patrols shall not the State of Louisiana in General Assembly convened, That the
