St. Landry.
SECTION 1. 1C it Cnaded I, by the Scnate and House o Rclpn-
sentatives of the State of Louisiaua, in General Assemnbly con-
vened, That Moise Hebert, of the parish of St. Landry, be and he is
oiso Hebert D.t hereby authorized, by an authentic act, to be executed before any No-
thaste t ave Ma tory Public in the State of Louisiana, to manumit or emancipate
etandy        Marie Melandy, his slave ; the said Marie Melandy, when thus nianu-
inited or emancipated, to have full permission to remain in this State
without bond being given, notwithstanding any law or part of law to
the contrary.

SECTION 1. Bc it enacCd ky te Senate and House of Repre-
sentativcs of the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly con-
vened, That Rebecca Coleman, of the parish of East Baton Rouge,
be and she is hereby authorized, by an authentic act to be executed
befoire any Notary Public in the State of Louisiana, to emaneipate
Henrietta, her slave; the said Henrietta, when thus emancipated, to
have permission to remain in the State without bond being given.
