No. 221.1                  AN ACT
To emanalpate George, William, Deademona and Ellabeth Robertson, children of
Georgo Robertson, f. in. o., of the pariah of East Daton Houge
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Rejpre-
sentatives of the State of Louisiana, in Gencral Assembly con-
Ronerson vened, That George Robertson be, and he is hereby authorized, by

shall be considered as fully and completely emancipated, with permis-
sion to remain in the State.

To appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of erecting works at the mouth of the
Bayou Plaquomine.
SECTION 1. Be it cnacted by the Senate and House of Reprc-
sentatives oj the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly con-

ted o0u  fa pda- der the provisions of an Act entitled An Act to reclaim and drain
Levee und Dra   he awaup and overflowed lands donated to the State of Louisiana by
Distrct. to erect Act of Congress entitled An Act to aid the State of Louisiana in
rfkayou plienntl draining the swamp lands therein, approved March second, one thou-
sand eight hundred and forty-nine, are hereby authorized and required
to set apart from the funds belonging to the Second Levee and Drain-
ing District, as created by said Act, the sum of ten thousand dollars,
to be used at the discretion of the Governor of this State, for the pur-
pose of erecting works at the mouth of the Bayou Plaquemine, to pre-
vent the entrance of drift wood into the same.
Duty of the State  SEc. 2. Be itfurther enacted, 4-c., That said work shall be done
sngincer.      under the superintendence of the State Engineer, and in such manner
as not to obstruct the navigation of said Bayou.
