forty-oight, that the sum of nine hundred and eighty-six dollars and
twenty-five cents be, and the smne is hereby appropriated, to refund
J. 31. Lapeyro, of the parish of Orleans, said amount paid by him for
Duty of negtter. land erroneously sold him by the State of Louisiana, and the Register
of the Land allico is hereby authorized and required to draw a war-
rnut on the Auditor of Public Accounts, in thvor of aid Lupoyre, for
said sun, as required by said Act.

SeCTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and Iouse qf Relpre.

ceeds of the sale of a runaway slave, after deducting all expenses,
sold under the existing laws of this State.
