For the relief of Auguste Dufour.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

To legitimise the children of Jules Claude Gouguet and his wife, Rosa Therese
Petit, of the parish of Lafayette.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
State of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened, That Jules

Lafhyette, State of Louisiana, be, and are hereby authorized to adopt,
under the names they now bear, their natural children, Julia Gouguet
and Celina Gouguet, as legitimate children of said Gouguet and wife,
and that said adoption shall have full force, vigor and effect in law,
from the date of, and according to an act passed and signed by them
Eniects or nid with that intent, before the recorder of the aforesaid parish, on the
adoption.,  fourth day of November, eighteen hundred and fifty, recognizing
said children as such,and that said Julia Gouguet and Celina Gouguet
shall enjoy the same rights and privileges as are accorded to legiti-
mate children, and in all respects be considered as if they had been
born during marriage, or were really and of fact the legitimate off-
spring of the said Jules Claude Gouguet and his said wife, Rosa
Therese Petit.
