seven dollars and ten cents, being amount over assessed upon five
negroes, slaves owned by said Lawrence, as appears upon the as-
sessment roll of 1848.
Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, &c., That the said sum of thirty-
seven dollars and ten cents is hereby appropriated for the object of
this act.
