To allow Nancy Flournoy and her son, Thomas Jefltrson Flournoy, free people or
color, to remain in the State.
Be it enacted, by the Senate and House oj Representatives of the State

To improve the navigation of Black Lake, and the bayous Black Lake and Sabine,
in the parishes of Natchitoches and Claiborne.
Be it enacted, by the Senate and House of Representaties of the State
uiaprovementof Louisiana, in General Assembly conrened: That the State Engineer
Of Blb k be, and he is hereby, directed to clear out and improve the navigation of
Blak b.akeBlack Lake, Black Lake bayou, and bayou Sabine, in the parishes of
and San. Natchitoches and Claiborne, to the head of steamboat navigation, in con.
formity with his last annual report; provided that said work shall not in-
terfere with improvement previously ordered.

.ztarcollectorlate State tax collector in and for the parish of Union, he entirely and
released from
paytng to the fully released as said tax collector, from the payment of three hundred and
a.t 290 dol-ninety dollars, State taxes collected by him and handed to F. Miller, to be
IM      deposited with the State Trensurer, but which amount was lost by the
explosion of the steamboat Edna, and that the State Auditor be, and he is
hereby, authorised and directed to settle with said Seale, as said collector,
