 clearing out the bayou little Caillou, from its mouth to its effluencer from
 the Terrebonn6;  and thereafter in clearing out the. grand Caillou to the
 head of navigation in the same. Also that the said :.eiigineer be directed to
 cause the necessary improvements.'to be made on  the River.aun.Beis,
 whenever it may be found practicable, to increase its navigable facilities.-
 Also that he be and is hereby directed to finish the improvement of the
-bayou Boeufdas heretofore directed byan actofthe General Assembly, ap.
proved  April sixth, eighteen hundred and forty three, and he is required to
pbserved, comply  with, and carry out the provisions of said act, provided
that the contemplated improvemient shall extend to the plantation of the
estate of John Linton, in the parish of Rapides. Also that said engineer
be  directed to finish at a suitable season, the improvement of the bayou
Courtableau, near its mouth, and higher up if necessary. Also  that the
state engineer be directed to complete  the improvement  on  the bayou
Pierre  river as already ordered. Also that the state engineer be directed
to finish the improvement, as soon as may be practibable of Lake Bista-
neau, bayou  Datcheete, and Loggy  bayou, andalso in the parish of Caddo
twelve  mile, bayou into lake Soda, thence through said lake to the mouth
of Black  bayou, thence up the same to the mouth of Red bayou and  from
thence  up said bayou to Red river, provided that nothing in this resolu-
tion shall be so construed as to give precedence to works previously order-
ed  by the General Assembly, and also that the state engineer be, and he
is hereby required to examine Nev-River  and ascertain and report to the
next  Legislature, whether it is practicable to remove the snags and other
obstructions in the sane, so as to.Tender it navigable. Also the estimated
cost and best means  of effecting the same if found practicable; and also
the  description of country through which it passes and such other facts
relating thereto as may come under his observation.

    Be  it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State
  of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened, That  the District attorney
  of the thirteenth Judicial District be and he is hereby authorized and re-
  quired to enter a nolle prosequi upon all indictments now pending in the
  district court in and for the parish of Rapides against persons charged
