           supplementary to an act entitled An act to authorize the treasurer of the state and auditor of public
             accounts, to settle the accounts oftie colector ofstate taxes, and torofud,'to any collector any ex-
             cess which he may ove pai4 into the treasury, approved filtranth aprl one thousand eight hun-
             dred and forty seven.
             Be  it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of.
           Louisiana,  in General Assembly  convened, That the first section ofthe act
           to which  this is a suppleinent which reads as follow:

              That  the auditor of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized to
           audit and settle the accounts of any collector of state taxes, and to allow
