Be it enacted by the Senate and Ilouse of Representatives of the State
/f Louisiana, in Gcneral Assembly convened ; Thit the Stite Treasurer
he'and he is hereby authorized to.pay to James McFeely threc  hundred
and.fifty--tiroe dollars, out of any money not otherwise appropriated.

SEcT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
of the Stateof Lauisiana, ine General Assembly convened ; That a leave of
absence from the State.of Louisiana, for ninety days from the first of An-
guSt. to L1h first of November eighteen hundred and forty-flive, be, and is
heroby granted to 0. P. Jackson, one of the Associate Judges of the City
Jourt of Now Orleans.
SaT. 2. B it further enacted, Sy, That during the absence of said
0. P. Jackson, G.*Y. Biight, Esquire, one of the Associnte Judges.of the
City Court of Now Orleans, be, and is hereby authorized to act in'the lieu
and place of said 0. P. Jackson.

SL'r. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of jZejiresentatives of
the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened ; That the first
section ofan act entitled an Act relutive to the revenue derived by the
State from the tax on the agents of Foreign Insui rs or Insurance Compa-

SECT. 2. Be itfurther enacted, 4c., That the Collector of State Taxes
in and for that portion of Orleans situated on the right Bank of the
river Mississippi, shall immediately after the passage of this act, and on

Pedlers and Hawkers and to the Collectors of State Taxes on trades, pro-
fessions and occupations in the parish of Orleans approved March eighth
of     een repo  .ighteen hundred and forty-one, be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECT. 4. Be itfurtter enacted  'c., That the Collector of State Taxes
on Pedlers and thwkers shrall be entitled to demand and receive as n. full
compensation for all licenses and receipts delivered by him, and for all
