Justices of thc Peace residing in said town, after giving ten days public
notice thereof, to preside over the first election to be had under this
act, and to post up over their signatures, in two or more public places,
within twenty-four hours after said election, the names bf the persons
who may have been duly elected to serve as Mayor and Councilmen for
the ensuing year, ofthe said town of Carrollton.
SECT. 21. Be it further enacted, 4., That this act shall be in force
from and after its passage.

No. 92.-AN ACT to reviscand reduice the Fee Bills of Clcrks, Sheriffs and No.
taries Public, and for other purposes.
Srctr. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
of the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly convcned; That fron and
after the first day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and
forty-five the several Clerks of Courts 'throughout this State shall be en-
titled to demand and receive the following fees of office and no more
to wit:-
Fees of Clerks. For endorsing, registering and filing petitions ten cents each,
For endorsing, registering and filing answers, ten cents each,
For copying all instruments of writing not otherwise provided for,
each hundred words, ten cents,
For issuing citation with seal and certificate, fifty cents each,
For copy of citation with seat and certificate, forty cents each,
For issuing attachment and seal, seventy-five cents,
For copy of attachment and senil, forty cents,
For issuing fieri facias with seal, one dollar,
For issuing order of seizure with seal, one dollar,
For issuing order of sequestration with seal, one dollar,
For issuing writ of certiorari with sea:, seventy-five cents,
For issuing injunction with seal, seventy-fivccents,
For issuing writ of Habeas Corpus with seal, and the proceeil-
ings thereon, no charge shalibe made by the Clerk or Sheriff, except in
civil cases by the party cast,
For issuing writ of mandamus with seal, seventy-five cents,
For issuing writ of distringas with seal, seventy-five cents,
For issuing subpwna duces tecurn with seal, seventy-five cents,
For issuing subpunas for witnesses with seal, filteen cents,
For copy of subpwna with seal and certificate, fifteen cents,
For issuing each writ of possession with seal, fifty cents,
For cach order of partition with seal, fifty cents,
For issuing notice of judgment with seal, twenty-five cents,
For every continuance, ten cents,
For issuing citation of appeal with seal and certificate, fifty cents,
For copy of citation of appeal with seal and certificate, forty cents,
For issuing attachmentto bring person into court with seal, forty cents,
For issuing venire facias in each case in the District Court, to be charg
ed but once in caci case, thirty-five cents,
