SEC. 2. Be itfur1her enacted, 4v. That there shall be a Precinct of

No. 149.-AN ACT to create two additional Election Precincts in the Parish of Do Soto.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State
qf Louisiana in General Assembly convened, That there shall be two ad-
ditional precincts of election established in and for the Parish of De
Soto: one at or near the house of Fran9ois Rembin; and the other at
or near the house of John E. Hewitt; where all elections will be held
and conducted as provided for by the laws of the State.

No. 160.-AN ACT for the Relief of W. & I. Voorhies.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State
of Louisiana in General Assembly convened, That the Treasurer of the
State be authorised and directed to pay to W. & B. Voorhies, or their
heirs and assigns, the sum of six hundred dollars, out of any moneys in
the Treasury not otherwise appropriated,.it being in full compensation
to them for the negro slave Joe, executed by the citizens of the Parish
of Concordia, and the slave Frank, declared by the citizens of Avoyelles
to be an outlaw, and executed by them.
