and be sued, to purchase the real estate which may be.
by'them deemed requisite for the erection of a theatre,
to sell, mortgage and dispose of the same, agreenbly to
the ordinances amd by-laws of said corporation, hereafter
to be passed.
SEc. 3. Be it further enacted, &c., That the man-
agement of said corporation shall be entrusted to five
Directors.  directors, to be elected by the subscribers in such man-
ner and at such time and place as may be provided by
the by-laws of said corporation.
SEc. 4. And be it further enacted, 4'c., That until
Aanagers,  the regular election to be holden as heretofore provided,
the five persons already named shall constitute a board
of managers charged with the superintendence and
management of said institution.

SECToN 1. Be it enacted by the Anate and House
of Representatives of te State of Louisiana, in Gencial
assembly convened, That George W. Munday, W.C.
'Williams, B. F. Wharton, George Dougherty, J. D.
McFarland, R. H. Carouth, W. H. H. Coates, W. H.
Eaton, James Gair, Thomas Freeland, Mark Boatner,
jun., James Holmes, William Langfitt, James Hughes,
L. H. Davis, Bythell Haynes, J. It. Collingsivorth,
Anderson Brown, R. M. Walker, George W. Norwood,
H. B. Gay, John Alorgan, Thorton Lawson and James
M. Roberts, with such other person or persons as may

hereby are created and made one body politic and corpo-
rate in deed and in law, for and during the term of fif-
