one thousand dollars for services rendered by him in decid-
ing a great many cases in the District Court of said Parish
in cases in which the District Judge was recused, to be
paid on his own warrant out of any money in the Treasury
not otherwise approprioted.
Sic. 2. Be it f /ither enact.Jd, 5-t. That this act be in force
from and after its passage

'      5roprint to Con1ened, That the sum of three thousand five hundred dol-
tIii' OWners of ars and fifi  cents, he and the same is hereby allowed to
CmpeSteamer Ihomas B. Lee, Charles It. Orifnitl and others owners of
the Steamer Ca mpte out of' any Imorn ies in thie Treasury not
otberwise appropriated ; to be paid theim upon tie warrant
of the Engineer of' the B oarid of Public Works as a full
co1pelsation for the I se of the said hoat and all other ex-
penses incurred in the rem oval of the obstructions in Red
River during the year eighteen iiiidred and forty.
Sic. 2. And he it fatrfher enucted, 51. That this Act shall
le in force inunediately after its passage.
