SEC. 5.- Be itfurther enacted, 4-c. That the fmes specified
in the first, second and third sections of this. act, shall when

SEC. 6.Be itfurther enacted, 4.. That it shallbe the duty
of the presiding Judge of -every Court of Criminal Juris-
diction in this State specially to charge every Giand Jury to
Juries. rr inquire into all violations of the laws against lotteries, and
against the unlawful'selling of tickets in lotteries.
SEC. 7. Be it further enacted, 4. That the Attorney Gen-
eral and theseveral District Attorneys, who may prosecute
ruider the provisions of this act, shall be entitled to retain out
coipeneation of any amount recovered by them under the provisions of
to turney Gen this act, twenty per cent as a compensation for their ser-
vices.

[No. 24.]-AN ACT
Relative to Roads and Leveos in the Parish of Concordia.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted lnf the Senate and House of Rey-
9 esentatives of the State of Louisiana in General Assenibly
convened, That the police jury of the parish of Concordia be,
and it is hereby authorised to divide the Parish of Concor-
dia into three wards, to be called levee wards, and to. ap-
ora Of Road point in each ward for one year and to continue in office
and tevec.  until his successor is appointed, one Commissioner of roads
and levees, who shall be a resident and freeholder in said
ward, which Commissioners when appointed, shall before
entering upon the discharge of their duties take an oath be-
fore some competent authority in said parish, that they will
faithfully and impartially discharge the duties incumbent
upoi thei as commissioners of roads and levees in said
parish.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, 4c. That said Commissioners
