[NoSS.]-RESOLUTION.
Preamble.   WHEREAS the property of John Williams late Sheriff
of the Parish of Ouachita has been seized in execution
on account of the State, and ordered to be sold for cash,
to satisfy the deficiency in the State Taxes due the State
by the said Sheriff, and whereas the said property cannot
be sold for cash at the present time without great sacri-
fice; Therefore
Be it resolved by the Senate and House of Represen-
tatives of the State of Louisiana in General Assemnb-
John Williams' ly convened, That the State Treasurer be and he is here-
proTarty o1e by authorised, on the securities of said Williams, having
of 12 months. made known to him in writingr their assent, to cause the
said property now seized or to be seized on account of the
State, in this particular case to be sold on a credit of one
year, provided the purchasers give bonds and security to
the satisfaction of the Parish Judge of the Parish of
Ouachita, said bonds to have the force of a judgment
and twelve months' bond when due, with the same in-
terests the demand now bears, with mortgage on the real
estate and slaves to be sold.
