AN ACT
For the purpose of giving the Parish of Claiborno a separate representa.
ion.
SEcTIoN 1. Ic it cnacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the State of Louisiana, ilL General Assenbly con-
rencd, That herenfter in all clcetions for mombers of tle louse
of.Reprosontatives of this State, the Parishes of Natchitochcs
and Cadoand Claiborno, shall vote separatoly for their Rcpro-
sentatives, and not togcthcr, as they have heretofore done. in
manner following, viz: the Parishes of Natchitoches and Cado,
shall elcct and send two Representatives, and the Parisi of
Claiborne shall clect and send one Represeltative to the House
of Rcprescntatives of tlte State.
SECT. 2. And be it further enacted, 4'c. That all laws
and parts of laws inconsistent with this act, bC,and the same are
herchy repealed.

For the relief of the Collegeof Franklin, in the Parish of St. Landry.
Be it en acted by the Senate and Hiouse of Rcprescntatites of
the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened, That
the sumtn of ftcolin thIousand dollars be atinnIally appropriated to
te Coll of Franklin. for the space of two ycurs, or the pur-
pose of enabling the aforesaid College to complete the erection
ofits buildings, and that tlTe Treasttrer of the State Ie atuthor-
ised and required to pay the aforesaid appropriation on the
warrant of the President of the Board of Trustees of tle said
College, cotl n torsigned by tie Socretary; and that this apino-
priation he paid quarter annually , out. of any monics in tle
Treasury not otherwise approprinted.
