sums as may be by the police juries of East and West Batoa
Proviso:  Rouge, deteL'mined upon; provided however, that each and
every person doing militia duty in the servico of the State or of
the United States, together with their baggage, arms and accou-
trements and all military stores of every description, shall be
transported free from toll.
SECT. 21. And be itfurther enacted, etc. That the distance
from Plaquemine cut off and Duncan's point, within which it
shall be unlawful for any other person or persons to establish
another ferry, over said river, shall be determined upon by the
Plice Jury. said police juries.

An Act
Supplementary to the several acts for the government of the town of
St. Francisville.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by th7e Senate and House of
Representatives of the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly
convened, That from and after the passage of this act, all that
Limits em- tract or tracts, parcel or parcels, or lot of land, embraced within
bracing said the following limits, viz: begining in the mouth of bayou Sarah,
town.       at low water mark, thence runing up said bayou to Fountain ba-
you; thence up said bayou to the Old Levee, built by the late
col. John Smith; thence with said levee to its termination near-
ot the road leading from said town to the fort on bayou Sarah,
at the plantation formerly owned by Davis Le Jeune, Esq., now
deceased; thence in a straight line to the center of the Ravine
in which is situated the Tan Yard, formerly the property of Asa
Brown; thence with the middle pf said Ravine to the Woodville
road, in front of the dwelling house of John L. Lobdell; thence
-with said road to the Baton Rouge and Jackson road; thence
with said road two hundred yards; thence in a straight line to
the head of the Ravine which runs between the market-house
at the head of Royal street in St. Francisville, and the dwelling
house of Benjamin Collins, to strike said Ravine at or near an
old grave yard; thence with the center or middle ofsaid Ravine
to within fifty yards of the spring known as the claret spring;
thence to the nearest high water mark of the Mississippi river,
