provided the taxes thus imposed shall, n no case, exceed the
sum of twenty dollard upon each billiard-table or grog-shop.
A PW.        SacT. 2. And be is father exacted, 4c. That all laws and
parts of laws, contrary to, or inconsistent with, this act, be and
the same are hereby repealed.

An Act
For the relief of F. and T. Harris, deaf and durnb orphan boys.
SecTioN 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of
Representatives of the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly
conrened, That the sum of three hundred dollas be and the
same ia hereby appropriated for the use of Thomas B. and
Frnnkiin W. Harris, deaf and dumb boys, to be employed for
their support nnd instruction, in the Pennsylvania Institution
for the Deaf and! Dumb; and it is hereby made the duty of the
State treasurer, immediately after the passage of this act, to re-
mit said sumn to the treasurer of that institution, for the useR
aforesaid.
