the provisions of the above recited act of the Legislature.

Allowing a compensation to Henry Jones, Sheriffof the Parish of Natchi.
toches, for services rondered.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
of the State of Louisiana, in General Asscmbly convened,
Allowance to That the sum of one hundred and twenty-five dollars, be, and
I. Jones.  the same is hereby allowed to Henry Jones, Sheriff of the
Parish of Natchitoches, for taking to the Penitentiary the
slave Pompey, condemned to perpetual imprisonment, to
be .paid out.of any money in the Treasury not otherwise
appropriated.
