To incorl orate the Citizens' I.nk of Louisians.
SECT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of
Representatives of the State of Louisiana, in General Assem-
bly convened, That there shall be established in the city of
Bank estat. New Orleans, a Bank, under the name and title of The
Ushed. Citizens' Bank of Louisiana: that the capital of said Bank
Capital.  shall be twelve millions of dollars, to be formed and pro-
cured by means of a loan, or loans, to be made by the di.
rectors of said Bank, in manner and form, and on the terms
and conditions herein after prescribed.
Books to be  SECT. 2. Be it further enacted, 4c. Tlt the books of
opened.   subscription, for the sum of fourteca millions four hundred
thousand dollars, to be divided into shares of one hundred
dollars each, and intended to secure the said loan of twelve
millions of dollars, shall be opened, as soon as may be, after
the promulgation of this act, twenty days notice thereof
having been previously given in two of the news papers
published in New Orleans: that the said books shall be
tubscriptions. opened by, and the subscriptions to the stock of the said
Bank received, under the superintendance and controul of'
the seven commissioners hereinafter named. The said books
of subscription shall be kept open every day, Sundays ex.
cepted, froi ten o'clock, A. M. until three o'clock, P. M. at
such place in the city of New Orleans, as a majority of the
said commissioners shall determine, and shall be kept open
for and during the space of four months, and may be con-
tinued open for a longer time, to be fixed by the said com-
missioners, or a majority of them, in case at leat twenty-four
thousand shares should not, at that time, have been subscrib-
ed. That books of subscription for the stock of said Bank shall
also be opened at the court-house, or judge's office, where
there is no court-house, in every other parish of this State,
under the inspection of three commissioners at each of thq
aforesaid places, as hereinafter named. The said managers
