Gally -te sum of two hundred and sixty two dollars and
fifty cents, in full of his account for arms furnished for
the use of certain companies of the legion of Louisi-
ana, being the balance of his accouut fur the last year.

RESOLUTION.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of
Representatives oj the State of Louisiana, in General .dssem-
6y4convened, That our senators and representatives in
the congress of the United States, are requested to re-
present to the general government, the necessity of
making such arrangements with the Mexican govern-
ment, by which the inhabitants of this state will have
the right of reclaiming their slaves when found on the
Mexican territory.
Resolved, That the governor be requested to transmit
a copy of the foregoing resolution to our senators and
representatives at congress.

AN ACT fixing the boundaries of the Periphes of East Felicians and-East
Baton Rouge.
Sec. I. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
Division line presentatives of the state of Louisiana, in General .dssenibly
bet*een two convened, That the dividing line between the parishes

aated,    of East Feliciana and East Baton Rouge shall be as fol-
lows:-Beginning at the lower or southerly limits of
the tract of land on which Port Jackson stands, thence
running on said line until it strikes the road from Fort
Hudson to Robert Neviport. thence running so as to
leave said road entire in the parish of East Feliciana,
to where said road crosses the present line of East Fe-
liciana and East Baton Rouge, from that point easterly
so as to strike the river Amite one mile due north of
the present line, between East Feliciana and East Ba.
