AN ACT to authorise the payment of certain sums of money to the persons thetile

a1m allowed   Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the senate and house of reptehentatives of the state of

Su ealowed Sec. 2. Ba it further enacted &. That the Treasurer of the state of Loussiana be
oalhe anunauthorised to pay to Benjamin Bullitt, former sheriff of the parish of Natchitoches, on
his own warrant, out of any monies in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the
sum of one hundred and ninety -six dollars.
Sam allowed Sec. 3. Be it further enacted Sc That it shall be the duty of the state Treasurer
D. Carlin.  to psy to Dorria Carhan, or to his ordei, the sum of sixty-four dollars, for ironing sun-
dry persons condemned by the district court of the parish of Rapides, and sentenced
to removal and imprisonment in New-Orleans.
Sec. 4. Be it further enacted &c. That the Treasurer of the state be authorised to
Sum allowed pay to messrs. T. Stroud and Co. the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars on their

Co.          Sec: 6. Be it further enacted &c. That the governor be authorised to pay to S. Relif

AN ACT to amend the third section of an act entitled, an act to incorporate the La.
fourche and Terrebonne Navigation Company.
Section 1 Be it enacted by the senate and house of representatives of the state of
Louisiana in general assembly convened, That the canal from the Bayou Laturche to
the bavon Terreboone, shall be only twenty-five fact wide instead of forty feet as had
been directed.
See. 2. Be it further enacted &c. That the Treasurer shall subscribe for fifty shares
in the name of the state, and that in addition to ten eirectors appointed by the stock.
bolders, there ahall be appointed by the Governor and the senate, two other directors on
the part of the state.
