AN ACT Supplementary to an act, entitled an ret providing the nmanner of
rmanumiting slave, that shall not have attained the nge prescribed by the
civil code for the manurniision.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of
the state of Lounsiana, in general assoinbly convened, That
the clerics of the police juries of the several parishes of this
state, shall have the right of demanding for the certificates of
authorization of emancipation of slaves, they shall deliver in
that capacity, the same emoluments as the clerks of parish
courts-have the right of demanding torsimilar services.

SEc. 2. .A1nd be it further enacted, That the said clerks
*ecor T, how shall keep the records of said court of' prol)ates so far as they
appertain to their fmctions, ;in the same inanner as they are
required to keep the records of the district and parish courts.
