AN ACT relative to Attorneys at Law.
Attorneys,  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-
edw oine tives of the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly con-

certain oases.vened, That from and after the promulgation of this
act, if any attorney, admitted to practice at the bar
in this state, shall recover any sum of money for
his client, and shall neglect or refuse to-pay over
said sum, whenever thereto required by his client,
without alleging any legal ground for such neglect
or refusal, such attorney shall, on conviction of the
fact before any court of competent jurisdiction, be
immediately erased from the list of attorneys, his
license cancelled, and for ever incapable of appear-
ing as such before any court of this state.
Benefit of i.- Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That no law-
solvent laws yer shall be entitled to the benefit of the lws re-
denied to  lative to insolvent debtors, for any sum by him col-
