AN ACT supplementary to the act entitled An act to grant a com-
pensation to jurors and for other purposes, approved March 24th
1823.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-
Compensa- tives ofthe State of Louisiana, in General ssemlby con-
ai e o vened, That so much of the act to which this is a
certain pa. supplement, as relates to the compensation ofju-
rishes.  rors only, be and the same is hereby repealed vith
respect to the parishes of Avoyclies, Lafayette and
Terrebonne.
Taxes an   Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the pro.
suits, how  ceeds of the taxes levied on suits in the parishes of
disposed of. Avoyelles, Lafayette and Terrebonne, shall be paid
by the sheriffs of said parishes respectively into the
hands of their parish treasurers, for the use of the
said parishes.
