AN ACT For the relief of the Poydra, Female Asyluw.
sums Fitow- Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of
ed.      Representatives of the state of Louisiana, in General
Assembly cotivened.; That his Excellency the of ovei*~

sue his warrant upon the Treasury for the sum of
three thousand. dollars, which sum shall be paid out
of the funds arising from the licences granted to gain-
ing houses, by the act e ttitled, aln act for the relief of
the Charity   Hospital of New-Orleans, approved
March 27. 1823. And twenty twenty sevenths of the
sim  arising from  said licences, after deducting the
three thousand dollars, is hereby appropriated to the
use of the Charity Hospital, and the remainder of that
Report to le sun is appropriated for the benefit of the College of
Orleans.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That it shall be
the duty of the managers of the said A sylum and they
are hereby required to .make a full report to the next
Legislature of this state, of the actual state and coAdi-
tion of said Asylum, and of the manner of their apply-
ing this appropriation.

Whereas John Thibaut of the parish of St. James,
did arrest on the twenty second day of the month of
June, in the year one thousand eight hundred and
twenty two, a runaway slave having in his possession
a sum of money and other effects, which are now de-
posited in the office of the judge of said paiish, and
whereas no person has appeared to claim the same.
