for the space of four years to be computed front and after the thir-
ty first day of March eighteen hundred and twenty three.
SEC'r. 2. *And be it,' further enacted, That the act entitled  An

colour, shall continue in force for the space of flour years, to be
computed from the thirty first of December eighteen hundred and
twenty three.

AN ACT to authorize the Corporation of the city of New.Orleans to make a
certain donstion, and for other purposes.
IWhereas the corporation of the city of New-Orleans are not au.
thorized by their charter to make any donation ; and whereas the
said corporation have expressed to tie Legislature a desire of dis-
posing by way of donation in ftvor of the corporation of the Cathio
ie Ciurch of St. Louis in New-Orleans, of' certain lots of ground
being a part of the commons of'said city, in order to transport there
the Catholic'grave yard
