election, give notice of the day on which it shall be held.
Sec. 6. And be it further enacted, That as relates to the subse-
quent elections, three wardens then in office shall hold and conduct
the same in the same manner as the preceding ones, and if by some
unforseen circumstances, it happened. that an election hereby pre-
scribed, did not take place on the day pointed out for that purpose,
it shall be proceeded to as soon as possible, and the warden whose
term of service shall be expired, shall continue in office until his
successor be appointed.
Sec. 7. And be it further enacted, That the'annual income of
said corporation sulject to their administration, shall not exceed
five thousand dollars, any provisions of this act to the contrary
netwithstatiding.
Sec. 8. And be it further enacted, That immediately after their
election, the five church wardens so'elected, before entering into
the exercise of their duties, shall take before a justice of the peace
the oath of office, and shall elect from among themselves a president
and a treasurer collector, whose duty it shall be to collect all sums
due to the said corporation, and make all payments ordained by
the said church wardens, and the said treasurer collector shall fur-
nish to the said church wardens a sufficient security, and the said
church wardens shall meet at least every three months on the day
so by them appointed, and the president and treasurer collector
shall not continue in office above the term of one year, unless they
be re-elected.
Sec. 9. And be it further enacted, That this act shall be transcrib-
ed on the book kept for recording the proceedings of said ch.ich
wardens, as also all the christian and family names of all the white
Roman Catholics, who are now or may hereafter be associated to
the said corporation or body politic; provided however, that no
person shall be admitted thereto, unless he or she belongs to the
Roman Catholic persuasion.
Sec. 10. And be it further enacted, That the said corporation
shall have no authority whatever to appropriate or use any revenue
belonging to the said corporation for any other purpose but the
promotion of education, and the support of the said congregation
as a religious and charitable society.
