eforesaid, under penalty not to eesed one thoisant
dollars, to be recovered before any court of compe-
tent jurisdiction to the use of the state; and shall
moreover forfeit the office or trust to which he may
have been appointed; and no tutor, curator, execu-
tor, administrator or guardian required to furnish se-
curity, shall be authorised to execute the duties of
his trust, or to receive and held the administration of
the property to be entrusted to him, until such secu-
rity shall have been furnished and recorded, in the
manner prescribed by this act.
SECT. 3. .And be it further enacted, That the for.

minors, &c* quired solely for the benefit and information of the
public, the want thereof shall in no wise be prejudi-
cial to the interests of a minor, person insane, or any
absent heir of the state of a person deceased; but all
minors, insane persons and absent heirs, shall cone
tinue as heretofore to have a tnoit and privileged
mortgage on the property of the said tutors, curators,
executors, administrators and guardians, according to
the principles established by the digest of the civil law.

AN ACT
.Supplementary to an act entitled,  An act supple-
mentary to the acts to lay a tax on lands and elaves
in the Territory of Orleane.
\Whereas the taxes on real property and slaves in
Preamble. the county of Feliciana, for the year one thousand
eight hundred and eleven remain yet unpaid, and the
census of slaves and tables of assessment of the taxes
have not yet been made out, therefore:
SECT. 1. Be it enacted by the senate and house 6f
representatives of the state of Louisiana, in general
Jodges to assembly convened, That the judges of the parishes of
iaT1pint ap- Feliciana, East Baton Rouge, St. Helena and St.
praisers.  Tammany, being a part of the late county of Felicianas
shall within thirty days from the passage of this act,
proceed in the manner prescribed by law to thl ap,
Their duty. pointment of appvaisers of said property, and the said
parish judges and appraisers, shall before the thirty
first dAy of December next transmit or cause to be
transmitted to the treasurer of the state a census of
tl e slaves held or owned in their respective parishes
in the year one thousand eight hundred and elevent
