ITEROLUTION.
Resolved by the Legislative Council and House
of Reprrsintatives of the Territory of Orleans in
general assembly contened, That the judges of the
p.irishes of St. Charles & St. John Baptiste, of the
German Coast shall, together with six inhabitants
of their respective parishes, make an enquiry for
the purpose of ascertaining the number and names
of the slaves who have distinguished themselves
during the late insurrection by saving the life of
their master or of some other white person; and
that they will report the same to the Governor of
the Territory within fifteen days from the date of
this resolution, to be by him transmitted to the
