CHAPTER XXXII.
AN ACT
Supplementary to the Acts to lay a tax' on Zandj
and Slaves in the 7 erritory of Orleans.
SEc. 1. . Be . enacted by the Legislative Council
and House rf Representatives of the 'Territory of
Orleans, in General Assembly convened, That the
county of Feliciana shall pay for their portion of
he territorial tax, the sum of six thousand dollars.
SE c. 2. And be it further enacted, That the
sum of seventy five cents shall be besides paid on
each head of slaves.
SEC. 3. .And be it further enacted, That the pa.
rishjudges of said county shad perform, under
the same responsibility, the same duties and the
same formalities prescribed by the acts to which
this is a.supplement, and shall be entitled to the
same compensationto them granted by the said act.
. SEc. 4. And be it further enacted, That the
appraisers appointed for each parish, shall perform,
under the same responsibility, the same duties and
the same formalities imposed upon them by the
acts to which this is a supplement, and shall be
ehtitled to-the same compensation to them granted
by the said act.
